If you need to mount a long-gun in your vehicle , the Blac Rac system is a unique solution. Back when guns were all 12 ga shotguns, mounting them was easy with a handcuff-style lock. With the more complicated C8 and other AR-style platforms, the traditional style locks don't have a secure place to 'grab' the gun.
Blac-Rac locks 'squeeze' the receiver/trigger area and secure the gun via pressure and interlocking pins/rods that grip the trigger area and pistol grip area.
The locks rotate and swivel to make mounting a lot more flexible than older-style locks. Also, the Blac Rac grips the middle of the gun so butt-stock boots are not required for AR-style platforms.
Blac-Rac is widely used by all levels of law enforcement in Canada and the US. Marine (stainless) versions are available for use in exposed locations.
The lock system is also available for LTL launchers including 40mm and similar launchers.
The lock itself is separate from the mounting system. Mounts are available for;

The lock shown here is the Blac Rac 1082-AR. It is an electronic-release locking system, with 8-second timer. Includes AR adapter post and 2 override keys. Mounting system is not included (please contact us to discuss your application).
